Figuring your video cost

We’re very open about our pricing. We want you to understand where your money is going and what we’re doing to earn it. Here is a breakdown how we put a price on your project.

 

Concept Planning

• outline the approach to the video

• discuss with customer the subject matter and raw video that must appear in the video

• discuss how many on-camera interviews will be conducted; select interviewees and discuss plan for contacting and coordinating each person

 

Pre-production

• create any necessary shot lists (based on the concept meeting)

• prepare interview questions (based on the concept meeting)

• prepare equipment (checking/testing the camera, lights, media cards, tripod)

 

Video Shoot

• videographer visits each site to shoot everything on the shot list

• videographer also shoots other raw video he/she finds relevant or beneficial

• videographer interviews predetermined people

 

Post-production

Logging Raw Video

• review all the raw video that was shot

• transcribe sound bites from interviews

Script Creation

• notes regarding sound bites and raw video are reviewed

• sound bites are selected, then arranged into story form to create a script

• script is emailed to customer

• minor changes are discussed by phone, changes requested by client are made

Video Edit

• edit video according to the approved script

• relevant graphics are created

• preview video is provided to customer for viewing

• minor changes are discussed by phone, changes requested by client are made

Wrap

• digital files are created

 

 

EVENT VIDEOGRAPHY

Are you having a birthday party, anniversary, or special event? This is the video package for you. Our specialist will provide you with a customized highlight video that will captivate your audience and social media followers alike. We also offer custom packages for events that need a little more beef!

Includes:

• 2 hours of event recording (additional hours are $150/hour)

• UHD or 4K footage

• Music license (you will have the right to play on Facebook)

• Digital Download

• 90 sec to 3 min social media snippet edit

 

 

COMMERCIAL / BUSINESS VIDEOS

Generally $200 per .30 seconds

Travel (Out-of-town)

Snapix Photography is available for travel.  There are multiple factors to consider for travel cost.  Time, fuel, food, and lodging if required.  There is no set price.  Typically, Snapix charges $1-$1.50 per mile (depending on average fuel cost) plus food and lodging.  Clients are encouraged to contact Snapix for individual calculated pricing.
